This book was created in response to the requests of our SimplyTajweed students, who wanted a dedicated programme for those new to the Arabic alphabet. This short, four-module book is designed to equip you with the essential knowledge and
foundational tools needed to begin your Tajweed journey with confidence.

- Arabic Alphabet: Learn the names, shapes, and basic pronunciations of the 29 letters of the Arabic alphabet.
- Short and Long Vowels: Understand how short and long vowels affect the pronunciation of the letters.
- Sukun & Shaddah: Learn about letters without vowels and doubled letters, and how both affect Qur’anic recitation.
- Nun Sakinah & Tanween: Discover the basics of the double vowels.
- Etiquette of Recitation: Understand how to treat the Qur’an with respect and use it the right way.
- Recitation Practice with Common Surahs: Listen to and recite along with Surahs Al-Fatihah, Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq, and An-Naas, with the aid of a specifically made transliteration!
